Most tours on this site are based around Madrid. The Old Town E-Bike Ride and the Greenway Easy Day are the gentlest. The Riverside Gravel Intro adds loose surfaces without much climbing. The Forest Gravel Loop and Volcano Gravel Day are full days on tracks east of the city and among extinct volcanoes. The Big Climb Morning is a hard half day. Pick by effort and by how much time you have, then check the meeting point on each tour page.

Why ride here

Madrid has a large network of parks, river paths and quiet country roads reachable without long transfers. Within an hour or so of the centre you can be on tracks through pine forest or on the foothills that lead to the Sierra de Guadarrama. The city sits at about 650 m, so even modest rides start with some elevation, and clear skies are common for much of the year.

When to go

April to early June and late September to October give the best balance of warmth and comfort. July and August are very hot in the afternoon, so choose early starts. Winter is cold on early mornings but often sunny, and daylight is short, so half-day tours work better than full-day ones then.

Getting there

Madrid-Barajas airport connects to the centre by metro and rail, and high-speed trains arrive at Atocha and Chamartín. Meeting points inside the city are easy to reach by metro or local train. Check each tour page for its exact start, because some gravel days begin outside the centre.

Guided or self-guided?

The Old Town E-Bike Ride and the climbing and gravel days are described as guided tours. The Greenway Easy Day is built for your own pace on a flat, traffic-free path, which suits families and relaxed riders. Read each page to see what support is included.
